When I wrote the 1st draft of Sisters of Jade, I didn't know it was going to be a trilogy. Only once I was done did I know these characters had fallen into something big. It was then that I started to craft the larger story.

Every year around mid-to-late October, something magical happens in Ottawa. Hundreds of writers gather to talk, share ideas, and develop their craft. It's called Can*Con, and I I love it. I wait all year for this Canadian writers' event, and I'm never let down.
